About CWFOA

Based in Columbus, Ohio, the Capital West Football Officials' Association is an organization which provides educational and developmental resources to football officials throughout Central Ohio. Membership is open to any football official licensed by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (or a surrounding State High School Association). Individuals currently working on obtaining an officiating license are also eligible for membership. (Join CWFOA)

Our 100+ members provide officiating services to youth programs, middle schools, and high schools throughout Ohio. Many members also currently officiate, or are veterans of, the collegiate and professional football officiating ranks.

Some of the services CWFOA offers include:

• Organizing "local meetings" on football rules and officiating mechanics
• Coordinating officiating development clinics
• Providing on-field observations and skill evaluations
• Fostering officiating skills development through mentoring programs
• Sponsoring new official courses with partner groups
